Alcohol Six Pack Vs Carton

I was having a conversation with friends the other day and personally I always buy a six pack as I like to always try something different. However my friends said I was wasting my money and should just be buying cartons.

Just wondering what the oz bargain community do?

If taking a gamble on something new, I'll buy a 6 pack. Much like you, I like trying new/different things.

If I know it's something I like and am likely to be able to polish off a carton before getting sick of it, I'll buy a case.

    So it depends..

  • Always a case. If it's a new beer, i'll go to the pub.

Also, liquorland (and BWS i think) had an "international pack" and "domestic pack" of about 8 different beers for you to try. You could always look at that.

Always buy a case. If you don't like it, you can always hold onto them…and take them to a mate's place when you need to bring something.

    $17 for a six pack or $40 for a slab… It's a no brainer.

$10 dan murphy 6 pack. but not this month.

    • I always buy 3 (actually usually 6, do 2 separate 3x6-pack click & collects) if it is a beer I like. IT isn't worth the bother going to Dan's for a 6-pack.

I usually get the $10 six pack vouchers on my receipts from Coles.. over the last few months they have switched the offers through James Squire (lots to try here), Heinikin, Corona, Hahn Super Dry and now Pure Blonde.

Dollar for dollar it worked out the same or a bit cheaper to pick up the six pack then a carton. However without the voucher I would definitly get the carton everytime.

    $10 six pack

  • The Tun red was on special last week for $29.95 for 30 pack.

If you are going to drink, you need to buy in bulk because buying six packs are too expensive.

    • I really don't drink often enough to think I need to buy a slab but I think I am convinced now.
