GoGet CarShare - Using at an Agent?

I get nervous about companies storing copies of my ID, which GoGet requires you to do if you apply via their website.

GoGet allows people to use their Agents instead:

Has anyone used these?

How do they work? Do they store copies of your documents, or just visually look at them? Do you get your Keys on-the-spot?

And how do they apply the DISCOUNT codes at the Agent, including the Dan Murphys special?:

Or do you have to send in a Dispute to their head office once they overcharge you?

  • Pickup locations are independent businesses, and cannot help you with bookings or account inquiries.

I doubt they will store your info on site, they just send the info directly to GoGet office. You could always ask them about the process, at the very least i'd expect them to write everything down and then cite your license.

As for signup codes, they're getting paid via a proportion of your sign up fee, so i doubt you'd be able to use codes.

    my 2c anyway

    • Your guess was as good as mine.

Anyone actually signed up at an Agent?

    • Transferring it = Storing it, the applications and the OSs tend to do this in the background without informing the user. (Let alone the ISP, their third party surveillance partners, et al). Aldi mobile are one of the most notorious at doing this- offering no other way to register than to send it over the web and into the cloud.

  • Has anyone actually signed up at an Agent?

First hand knowledge would be great.
