Possibly. Just saw the original 2.0% post which was over 12months old - has now been edited for 2.5%. Will leave it to mods to decide as that deal is old and doesn't show up on most Ozbargain pages people read. Thought people might want to know about this….

    • -1

      No need for name calling.

  • +2

This site never credits me when I buy from eBay, no idea why.

    • +1

do you use a standard browser, not in private mode, and/or with cookies not turned off?
also, can take quite some time before the purchase shows in CR account.

    • +3

Same. 1st time worked fine, the 3 orders after that didn't. Not reliable.

      • +1

        Mine seems to be ok.

4 purchases over a period of time. Using every Adblock in town on safari.

      • +1

Same here, works infrequently. No adblock or other tabs open, cookies on.
I've had transactions declined as well for no reason.

      • +1

Ditto, had purchases not recognised in the past either.

I'm about to make a big purchase now and I'll be annoyed if it doesn't get picked up this time.
From my understanding they can investigate their records if you claim there are unpaid bonuses?

        • +1

          Nope :/
I made a fairly big purchase a while back and didn't get the cashback. I asked them and they basically said, if it's not there, there's nothing we can do.

        • Got a tracking receipt from CashRewards for my fridge purchase yesterday.
          Looks like it's all good!

Edit: Just checked and the "Expected Cashback" is only 2%, not the 2.5% stated.

      • when the first one works fine, how long after the purchase you know that youre getting refunded? does the transaction appear immeduately in cashrewards after purchase?

        • It normally takes a few days for the reward to appear in your account

      • eBay are pretty much the only company that CashRewards actually honours consistently. lol

never received jack from Telstra and sometimes only from Dan murphys. lol

    • Same…

    • Damn! Disnt work. No credit or hasnt showed maybe

  • Think CR just got Ozbargained

    • +7

      Agree, couldn't sign in.

It's very annoying that I have to sign in every time, even I've ticked that automatic signin box.

    Half a percent, Great Deal!

  • Looking at joining but seems to be mixed reviews. Has anyone successfully cashed out?

    • I cashed out $150 last week. No problems for me with eBay, etc.

      • Cool. May I please ask, what internet browser did you use?

        • +1

I have used chrome and firefox and have recieved cashrewards every single time. If you have faced issues in the past, check if you have any extensions auch as zenprise or adblock.

        • @Gentlecrack:
          I have adblock, works everytime.
Switched to ublock - wonder if it will stop cashback..

        • @cwongtech: what's the advantage of ublock?

        • @Son ofa Zombie:
Supposedly less resources used (better battery life for laptops)

      • Internet Explorer

    • I cash out all the time, and it always works for me. I use it for eBay, menu log and delivery hero the most. Also get cash back from dan murphy's and for flower deliveries. I've cashed out about $400 since i started using it mid last year. I'm sorry to say it, but anyone who has problems with it not recognising etc are using it incorrectly.

Pricepal referral buddy bonus gives new join-ins 4% cashback on eBay purchase.Just search within the site.

    • +2

Yep, and since 7th August I've had 4 x eBay purchases through Pricepal and all 4 successfully recorded the cashback + buddy bonus.

The only reason I ever used CashRewards over PricePal previously was the eBay cashback, but now that PricePal offers 4% cashback on eBay purchases my CashRewards account has been dormant. Surprised more ozbargainers aren't aware of this.

      • Sounds worthy of a switch as my CR purchases never register

        • +2

I see others report the same thing, I don't have a problem with purchases registering on either platform (CR or PP). Except Coles & Woolworths - they NEVER register, but then I've been told by PP that the problem lies with Coles & Woolworths and they are looking to fix that.

Anyway, be aware that the eBay PricePal cashback doesn't get notified via the PricePal banner (Chrome extension). For some reason the banner never appears. The way I get my PP eBay cashback is to:

          1. watch the item I want to buy
          2. close chrome completely
          3. open chrome
          4. go to pricepal.com.au
          5. choose "shop at this store to get 2% cashback" button (this opens a second tab in the current browsing session and the pricepal tab is still open
          6. go straight to "my eBay watchlist"
          7. click "buy it now" and follow through with paypal payment

That's it. FYI, after the purchase if you look at the original pricepal tab that is still open a 'pop-up' will have appeared on that page saying "your transaction has been successfully recorded"

          Hope this helps others

EDIT: if you want the buddy bonus double-cashback (to make 4%) you will need to have successfully referred other users to join PricePal

        • @PBG: any idea how long it takes for eBay purchase to pop up in CR? a week or so?

        • @clarky:

Cashrewards: 1-2 weeks (they say 7 days but has regularly been up to 14 for me)
PricePal: less than a week. My last eBay purchase (19/8/15) has been in the registered list for a few days already. I'd say 3-7 days for PricePal.

Then you have to wait the 60 days because of the PayPal refund period… yada yada yada. But at least they are there showing as registered and the cash should come eventually. PricePal are showing my 4 August eBay purchase as having an "Estimated payment" month of Nov-2015.

        • @PBG: awesome, waiting a pain but lets hope it worked!

        • @clarky:

Yeah, the waiting sucks. I like to think of cashback as a 'possible' bonus. Rather than a '4% discount'

    • I see Pricepal saying it gives 2% cashback? Or am I doing something wrong?

      Screenshot: http://puu.sh/jNMWu/1fc564e181.png

      • +1

Through their Buddy Bonus if you use the Pricepal referral to join or you refer someone to join.

        • is it permanent 4% or you have to keep referring someone, etc??

          also, can you refer yourself?

        • @Son ofa Zombie: If you join in via referral, you will have $20 to cashout later. When you purchase $1000 on eBay via Pricepal, you get normal $20(2%) cashback.Buddy bonus will match the same amount for this purchase, which is $20 as well.

If you want more bonus, you have to refer new member, each new member gets you $20 to cashout with your future cashback purchase.

Your account will be banned if you do self-referral.So please do not risk doing it.

@Neoika: Thanks for the info and link.

Hmmmm… didn't realise PricePal is actual software that needs to be downloaded + installed… Sounded good, but this is a DEal Breaker.

        • @Son ofa Zombie: They said so.Actually, you do not need to.I just uninstalled right after download.

        • @Son ofa Zombie: PricePal has a Chrome extension which needs to be added into Chrome on the referred user's computer for buddy bonus to be given. Once buddy bonus has been given to both accounts then the PricePal extension can be removed from Chrome. Actually I find the Chrome extension to be VERY handy - for example when you visit an online shop where cashback is available it automatically drops a bar down from the top of the page to notify you of possible cashback and you just click a button on the header bar "obtain cashback from this store" and then the cashback will be tracked (i.e. you don't have to remember to manually visit the cashback website before all online purchases). It saves me a lot of time and gets me plenty of cashback I would miss out on otherwise.

However, for normal cashback tracking to work you don't need the Chrome extension installed. So you can have it either way.

I've had no problems with cashrewards. Always get cashbacks recorded. But today, I couldn't log on—likely overloaded from the eBay sale. So used the Qantas Online Mall instead, which I don't prefer. But didn't want to wait.

  • +1

Haven't had my Cashrewards transactions from August 17 onwards show. Anyone else having the same problem?

      • They don't do anything about missing eBay trackings if you email them about it. If you don't get the confirmation email in a few days, you aren't getting it.

        • Right, that's Cashrewards/Pricepal's No Enquiry Policy for eBay Australia.

  • Firefox. No issues. I do log in before purchasing and then select ebay and open the window for eBay through the cash rewards site. Works every time few cash outs and lots of purchases.

  • Was 3% cash back till recently (may be limited promo), so this is a loss than deal ;-)

Cash Rewards Site is not reliable. I get cashback for small transactions, but all the big ones are mysteriously missing!!

  • well im a NOOB! Please make sure you all activate your account before purchasing a $750 dollar item :( No rewards for me lol

  • I've tried to use cashrewards ages ago - and it didn't work. Tried it again for the ebay sale. Got another $17 off the already good discount on a smartphone and some smaller, separate, accessory purchases for it!

  • Something that I purchased from Asos.com in March 2015, I got cashback approved in September 2015. Took them 6 months to issue the cashback from Asos.com purchase.

Another purchase from Groupon.com.au on 08 July 2015 is still pending. It has been 2 months now.

    • It's something to do with CashRewards waiting until your return period has ended.
I guess it stops people buying stuff, getting cash rewards, then returning it for a refund.

  • What's the deal with it not catching purchases?

What's the longest it'll take for the site to recognise a purchase was made?
I specifically close all my ebay tabs.
    Open cash rewards.
    Open the ebay page.
    I ensure I'm logged in.
I CTRL-F5 to be like, totally definitely, refreshed and logged in
Then I launch ebay from cashrewarrds, paste the item # in that I got earlier and buy.

Still doesn't seem super concrete on recognising the purchase?

    • +1

It won't show up in tracking history straight after a purchase. It can take a couple of days to be verified.

      • Yeah I think it has infact got them all, slowly but eventually.

        • I have some still pending over 100 days ago. I'd say it can be after Paypal's 180 day dispute cycle.

        • @Clear: That's retarded, wow - what was that for?

  • If I add multiple items to card that counts as one transaction? Also cart works ok with CR?

  • Merged from CASH REWARDS BACK TO 1.5% on eBay?

Hi, has it gone back to 1.5% for EBay? Am I confused as I thought it was staying at 2% for now. I made an early morning purchase and I think it said 1.5%.

  • Does anyone know if we can double dip with these affiliate links? ie. getting velocity points and cash rewards at the same time?
