T/D cat food (commonly available at Vet clinics) in Melbourne

I'm looking for a deal on "T/D" dry cat food in Melbourne.
They sell this stuff for a lot of money at Vet clinics. I'm sure it's a big money maker with big markup.
I'm hoping somebody knows where to get the biggest bag of the stuff for the cheapest price.
My cats need it for heath reasons, so I'm told.
Thanks.

  • If you don't mind getting it online, can try Pet Circle
I've bought Hills Prescription food from them before with no hassles at all

  • yep petcircle

  • +1 to pet circle

Feel free to use my referral code REFB384 for $10 off (and $10 credit to me)

  • You don't need to, and probably shouldn't, feed this stuff exclusively. We used to give our little girl 5 of these per day to clean her teeth and other food as well. If you are in Melbourne it might be worth calling Lort Smith and finding out their prices. I have a race memory they were cheaper. I agree with the chicken wing, chicken neck etc option but of the five cats I have owned, none of them were the least bit interested in eating these.

  • I'm looking for the same for my dog, but avoiding t/d because of the dubious ingredient list and ridiculous price. If possible at all, try to brush their teeth. Knowing cats, this can be..problematic.

If you're getting t/d anyway, AussieVetProducts currently has it for $49.53 (vs Petcircle's $57.95), or less for the smaller bag. http://www.aussievetproducts.com.au/products/hills-feline-t-…
$54.25 delivered to 3000 (will vary depending on your post code) with the $6.95 discount currently on somewhere here. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/207341
I haven't used that site, but some comments on the deal seem to indicate it's alright.

For other places that sell it (delivery could vary), have a look at 99petshops. http://99petshops.com.au/Search?AnimalCode=&Query=t%2Fd+cat

  • Thanks for your advice everyone. I agree that T/D is not good food for cats, not to mention way overpriced no matter where you get it, but my wife prefers to listen to the vet and I don't really want to argue with her over this. I'll show her your comments, though.
