  beware - last time they did this the offer was $20 voucher for minimum $100 spend - not every $100 spend, as originally posted.

  Depending on the credit card you have, switching the currency to AUD might be the worst way of paying.

    judging on my experience with this website, I used PayPal, and it didn't convert anything, it showed exactly the same amount in AUD as was in the cart. With today's exchange rate it's definitely cheaper…

      A lot of Credit Cards have a foreign transaction fee of around 3%, even if the currency is in AUD (like Groupon vouchers). Cards like BankWest Zero, 28 Degrees, Citibank have 0% fees. Then you have the issue of paying in AUD instead of the native currency for the store, where the exchange rate isn't as good as the credit card exchange rate (examples include Amazon & using PayPal in AUD for US based items) -> effectively a % fee on top.

      With SportsDirect.com, I'm not sure if their provided exchange rate is good (compared to say MasterCard's Currency Conversion Tool), since I couldn't work out if their £ price has VAT included or not. I suspect the £ has VAT included & the AUD has it removed. My theory is that .5AUD/£ is a poor currency conversion, but with VAT removed. Also looks like you don't get the cheaper shipping option if you keep it in £ ($10 vs $27 when in AUD).
      End result: go with the Au site :-(

      Shipping is $9.99 for every $100 of purchase. If you spend $101 on goods, your total with shipping becomes $120.98! This deal doesn't really provide any saving then, it just cancels out your 'new' shipping cost… Sneaky

  End up getting a Carlton Kinesis X900 badminton racquet. Watch out the UK site and AU site price different, for the racquet I get, it is AUD$135, but on UK site is GBP114….. Hmmmm …. I need to blacklist ozbargain on my browser ~>_<~
