Online T-Shirt Store with Better Margins than Redbubble

Anyone know of any online stores that have better margins than Redbubble as a seller?

  • Sorry for late reply but from what I've seen briefly online, not only are they seeming to give good money back, they also have the best storefront as a seller.

Did you end up finding anything?

  • No I didn't unfortunately.

    • There's something "broken" with what they charge Aussies, Americans etc - for some reason we get charged the least by far (it did start in Australia)
I don't know how long it's going to last but right now with 20% commission on shirts, I'm getting anything from $3 to $6 a shirt, it's frankly, goddamn fantastic.

AUD being weak is a bonus too.
I looked at Society6, Zazzle, TeeFury and all of them have HORRENDOUSLY bad store interfaces in comparison. RedBubble is vastly superior in my opinion for uploads and ease of producing shirts. It's crazy how easy it is. The others are genuinely baffling.

      • I agree. I looked at all of them too. My main problem actually ended up being the price customers paid for the t-shirt, I think it was around $30 (I can't remember if it was AUD or USD).

My designs are out of date now (were politically orientated) and I'll being moving towards new designs as soon as I have time. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of designs do you find to be good earners? eg Slogans, illustrations?

        • Normally I would worry about what the end user pays as 9/10 I'm an end user.
That being said, considering my artistic skill (almost 0) I'm very happy with the sales I've seen on RedBubble.

I'm mostly going for pop culture stuff, I've got about 30 items up and some of them EXTREMELY obscure.
I have to admit, I've lifted one design from elsewhere (an old, popular 'memeish' image from a particular community) and it's the big seller but a few of mine have shifted too.

I'm only in my first real month of taking it seriously, I couldn't live off this money by any means but as it currently stands, it's certainly fun pocket money for a new phone each year maybe or a console?

Also the AUD vs USD exchange rate is currently, I think, hugely in our favour.
I'm hugely frustrated at how bad S6, Zazzle, TeeFury and that other one (I forget the name) are. They are INCREDIBLY bad for making a storefront. I don't want to tailor some little shop and customise each stupid item - let the end user customise the item, using the art I've provided. The time to get a pic up and running for sale on RedBubble is so much less.
