[Harvey Norman] XB1 Killer Instinct $8; PS3 Borderlands Presequel $14 (FREE Pickup)

120

Another slight drop in prices with Harvey Norman's ongoing clearance. Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse is now $14 as opposed to the $17 I paid 3 weeks ago. Arrgh… :)

Good prices on PS3 and Xbox 360 games as well:

Thanks to the original post for prompting me to check:

  • Not bad for borderlands. Does the handsome collection version have better graphics?

    • Runs at 1080p with 60 FPS however pre-sequel has some screen tearing.

    • You can pick up pre-sequel and Borderlands 2 for significantly less than buying Handsome Collection if you shop right; another rushed next gen port, contains no additional graphics upgrades apart from performance, but all the BL2 DLC if you're into that kind of thing.

      • Yeah I already have borderlands 2 too

Well, it's exactly the same game but with the DLC's and all classes included. Quite silly they didn't put Borderlands 1 in there as well, but hey, guess they didn't want to be TOO generous.

  • Call of Duty Ghosts is $17 in store also, just bought it with Borderlands Presequel for $14. Thanks OP

And I was nearly done taking a photo of myself on the shelf. Phooey.

        • lmao. that would have been hilarious :D

      • If you click through the picture of this post on your smartphone, it will bring you directly to harvey norman's online listing of the games and prices. These prices are not reflected in store by the way as none of the previous price drops were stickered when i checked instore stock.

thanks mate but my eb is pretty picky. the nearest hn is 30mins away so i wasn't aware they hadn't posted the sale on shelf tickets. just saves me a drive if eb price match. thamks anyways. ill try my luck ur way though

  • Harvey Norman Knox had barely anything. Did see Evolve. Bought Advanced Warfare for $36. It was stickered at $98.

No Borderlands unfortunately. Also was hoping for Ryse.

      1. Add a game, that's available in a store close to you (Knox for e.g.), to your shopping cart.
      2. View your shopping cart and select Knox as the store you would like to pick it up from.
      3. Then move out of the cart view and add another game that's not available at Knox (for e.g. Ryse).
      4. Harvey Norman will kindly transfer the game to the store of your choice for free. It will take a while for the game to come through but you are effectively getting free shipping in exchange for a bit of a wait (wait times vary between a month to a couple of days). I am guessing if we have waited this long to buy the game, we probably aren't too time sensitive as to when we get the game (so long as the price doesn't drop below what we bought it for.. haha!)
      • Thanks mate, will do that.

I was at Knox anyway picking up something from Dickies, so the trip was not in vain!

Thank you for the instructions! :D
I seen people mention you could do this, but I didn't know how.

  • XB1 Killer Instinct looks to be season/pack 1 (8 characters + 1/TJ Combo - via fee download code).
But I cant seem to find season 2 (the other 8 characters) or the complete edition in a hard copy.
So did they release it on disk or just as a in game purchase/digital download?

It's a friend that has the XB1 (just got it), not me, so unsure what the go is.

    Thanks OP
