Full Size, Full Travel Bluetooth Keyboards??

Do full size and full travel (eg not those 'orrible flat keys) bluetooth keyboards still exist anywhere?

You used to be able to find them, but looking now all I can see are the 'mini' keyboards meant to go with phones/tablets. All the fullsize keyboards seem to be proprietary 2.4Ghz dongle based.

  • When you say full size, do you mean the ones that include the number pad (i.e. not tenkeyless?) or do you mean the keyboard that's not shurnk down?
I am currently using the Wedge Mobile Keyboard (from MS cashback) and it's comparable to laptop keyboard, and I don't find it that bad.

That said, I think another way to go about it is to look for those Bluetooth Dongle that turns USB keyboards into a bluetooth keyboard.

    • Yeah, the full size ones like wot my fingers already know exactly where to go, etc.

The converters are fine, but you still have the wires going out the back of the keyboard to the converter - which defeats the objective somewhat.

      • I think you'd have a hard time looking for one, simply because many of the bluetooth keyboards are shrunk down to reduce the size for portability.
Wedge Mobile Keyboard I feel, is shrunk down a bit, since I feel like I am not moving my fingers as much as I do when I use a proper keyboard. I've heard decent things about Logitech k810 though.

        Good luck with your search.

  • I've got a Samsung bluetooth keyboard which I'd consider full-sized - it's 28cm long, standard Qwerty, can touch type as I would while on my laptop. Lost my tablet though, so it's gathering dust. Would sell it to you if you like.

    • Thanks but I was trying to source a full size, 103 key type, keyboard.

  • I'm using this one

Very good typing feel. Battery lasts along time, one of those set and forget. Use it for gaming and work and it's the best. Hate all those "flat" and small keyboards. Doesn't have numpad but really it's good. Harder to get now but get it whilst you can. No dongle pairing. Pairs via Bluetooth.

  • This was announced recently

not sure of AUS availability or pricing though

  • Apple bluetooth keyboard?

    • One of those flat, non-full travel keyboards. There is a similar MS one with bluetooth, but they really don't cut it IMHO

    • I think s/he wants full key one, not tenkeyless.
