You will need to work a little harder if you want some useful advice. What is your budget? What are your expectations? Do you want something like the Nutrabullit to make NUTRABLAST!

    • I agree :). I'm looking for good brand juicer and within A$350, I'm confused between the Hurom, Breville and Kenwood. And also the technique slow juicer or fast juicer is another confusion that I have.

I was watching a show on TV last night that had nothing but good things to say about the Juice Loosener.

Japanese made, very quiet operation and seemed to have great efficiency juicing oranges.

Are you going to use it to open a juice shop or personal use?
I used to have one of those big fruit & veg juicer for personal use, but they're too much hassle.
Once you use it, you have to wash all parts… not worth the effort just to make a glass of juice.
Nutribullet kind of juicer is more convenient

    • It's meant for domestic usage, I would like staying out of too much cleaning. But I believe it's equally important to keep clean for next use.

Been using one of these for Blending fruit/veg for the past 3 years, no problems so far:

    Cheap and it's reliable

    there's also this one:

    and this "commerical" one:

I have a different 'Luvelo' item from the same seller. Good vale for money and excellent service, fast postage too.

That said: while a blender is easier to clean it is very different to a juicer. Take an apple: you'd have to peel it and cut out the core to use it in a blender, while a juicer just deals with that.

i put everything in the blender minus the core, keeps all the parts I'd eat if I was eating one normally

    • Thanks for that Jemz. I'm looking into the website links now. This will help me with more information and make a right decision.

    Check out http://www.froothie.com.au/

They have some heavy duty blenders and juicers that are good for domestic or commercial uses. Their 24/7 service is really good as well.

If for any reason you decide to stay below your budget:
I am quite happy with the Sheffield juicer for only $49.95 (plus shipping, but they have free shipping sometimes, that's when I bought it): http://www.oo.com.au/Sheffield-JuiceSmart-Slow-Juic_P324016.…
Same model at same price also available from DealsDirect. Just buy from whoever does a promotion.

I have not used other juicers, but just from comparing specs I would say the main difference between this and the more pricey models is the size of fruit that fit down the chute. I cut things into 2-3cm cubes. That said: I would not want to feed for example whole apples - I would hate a whole batch of juice to be ruined by one item that is rotten from the inside. Cutting stuff up eliminates that risk.

Someone above mentioned the cleaning: indeed, there are plenty of parts, most just need a quick rinse, but some need proper cleaning with a brush. Not worth it for just one glass, I make enough juice for a couple of days, it keeps fine in the fridge.

    • Thank you Teri. A valid point relating to the cutting of fruits prior to feed, reduces the risk of spoiling the whole lot. I've twin boys (4yrs) and wanted to get them fresh juices during this summer. Hopefully with all the information shared by my fellow OZB I should be able to buy one.

      • I suggest you watch the recent film called "That Sugar Film" when it comes to juices, blenders are the way to go because you keep all of the fiber, juices and juicers are terrible when it comes to the sugar intake problem in Australia
