    Thats a great Price

Thanks, how long do you think this price will last? Also is there a way to size compare it visually?

  • So tempting. I never had any brand luggage before, always opted for the el cheapo ones (regret it later.. lol). But it is hard to justify the jump from 60 to 220 in my brain…I should just give in and buy it lol

Sorry for off topic, but did lol as watched Dumb and Dumber last night :P

  • Bought one. Hopefully the PC stands up to the luggage handler battering suitcases receive. I'm finding suitcases not lasting more than a couple of overseas trips before suffering significant damage!

Great price, managed to get the price down for exactly this one at Bagworld to $300 a while ago (when Myer did a 2 for $600 in April). Perfect size as well, quite often luggage deals are for bags that are either just too big as hand luggage or a bit too small for check-in luggage. This is the best size for me, regardless whether you're packing 23kg or 30kg. This bag should last 10 years easily, not a big investment if you're traveling once a year (I've got a similar one from 10+ years ago which has gone on at least 50 planes, the paint shows a few marks but that's it).

  • Not sure if it really matters, but doesn't the decent luggage usually have a 10 year warranty rather than 5 on this?

    • The next model up, Cosmolite, has 10 years warranty.

    • this model should have 10 years warranty, you can find it on both dj or samsonite.com, don't know why it says only 5 years.. maybe grey import items :)

  • how do you get to $220.40?

    website is showing $232.00?

  • Does david jones price match

If you're looking for something cheaper, the American Tourister Prismo line is fantastic. I have one of these and it has served me extremely well over the last 3 overseas trips.

    • Thanks for letting us know. I was after a cheaper but good quality suitcase

      • Can a guy get away with the turquoise?

        • +2

I do! Easy to spot at the carousel as well :D

        • @johnno07: true, no more black luggage for me, hard to spot, easily mistaken & picked up by other people - happened to my parents in Sydney.

the magenta for the ladies: http://www.luggagegear.com.au/american-tourister/5191-americ…

easy to spot at the carousel for sure, but I bought the american tourister one below, and the girl at virgin actually laughed at me and said "imagine if that actually was yours", while with the Mrs…
          Emasculating times haha

@johnno07: Thanks for the share! Picked up a Magenta and Turquoise!

@jesho: Came in this morning. Very happy with the colours, not as tacky as I feared. The turquoise looks quite nice too. Very happy with the purchase thanks for the heads up!

  • Bought one, thanks :)

  • Good price
Anyone come across any decent prices on zipper-free/zipper-less luggage?

  • Unfortunately, the product you have selected is no longer available.

Received the Engenero Combo 75cm Spinner Black, fast delivery BUT it has heaps of finger prints, scratches on the body and zippers. looks like a factory second or demo to me.

doesn't bother me that much, but would not have purchased if i knew it was like that.

    • Hi Mugu,
I'm sorry to hear that. I just received mine as well.It does has some finger prints. But it seems to be brand new to me and it truly has 10 years warranty ;)

      • Yes it's brand new, but I think these are the ones that could not be sold on the proper retail stores due to its conditions.

It would have been okay if they mentioned it had minor scratches, or mentioned they are ex-demo.

Mine one definitely looks like those ones on display at Myer and DJs. Heaps of customers tried it, scratched it.

I wondered how could they sell so cheaply, I know now.

  • This company is so shamed that offered me a deal upgraded to samsonite oval which is cheaper and heavier compared with the Engenero. It is not a upgrade, it is a degrade.

    • Same. Bait and switch.

      • Same here, offered 2 inferior substitutes.
        I requested refund.

  • Same here, I also asked for a refund.

  • I must be one of the lucky ones. Received mine today, expecting the worst only to find suitcase in original packaging, no finger marks and no scratches or damage. Pretty happy.
