Deals have been posted but doesn't mean it's trustworthy.

  • I've personally purchased off G2A in the past with no problems. However, if you are feeling sceptical about the purchase, additionally purchase the G2A Shield and raise a claim if the purchase does not flow smoothly.

  • I've bought mad max on G2A very recently and the steam code worked. I've only ever had 1 problem with G2A, out of a purchase of about 30 games and that was with far cry 4(someone stole a whole bunch of keys and sold them to the key resellers), ubisoft banned the keys, some already activated, and a lot of people got screwed by it. Eventually ubisoft reactivated the stolen keys that had already been activated, very nice of them.

Basically G2A provides a marketplace for people who have digital download keys to resell them. The prices are cheap because:

    1. The big companies like EA charge different prices for games depending on the country you live in and so people buy keys from the cheap country and resell them on G2A. (Because of currency fluctuations and region pricing there can be huge discounts available)
    2. People get keys through illegal means such as scamming game publishers or credit card fraud and then sell them on G2A.

You are aren't going to be able to find out before purchasing a key if it is 100% obtained through legal/ethical methods.

G2A don't know if the keys are legit, but you can get refunds (even without G2A shield) if you can prove to them the key was already activated or whatever reason it doesn't work.(Not 100% sure on this as I have only read about this happening online)G2A shield guarentees a 100% successful purchase, but requires invassive software that allows them to view your screen to ensure the game code activates and also it takes 10 minutes or so.

In summary I use G2A (I never use shield), I will continue to use it, I've had minimal problems with it, It will piss you off alot if your game doesn't work, but it's not always 100% on the up and up. It's great if you don't want to pay a company's dumb Australia Tax and if Australia has a good exchange rate. Do your homework and shop around.

  • +2

    $30.99 @ OzGameShop if you're really worried

4% cashback effectively makes it $29.75

    • Seriously, do this. Much safer.

  • I've bought quite a few games from this site and have only had a problem once. My advice is pay via PayPal, that way if there's are any problems you are covered. The G2A shield is useless.

  • thank for all you guys. I decide to buy Mad max on ozgameshop and others game steam on G2a, hope it work well
