  • A bold claim: AUSTRALIA'S LARGEST AUTO PARTS STORE

    Reminds me of a StartUp
    https://www.sparesboxblog.com.au/meet-the-spares-box-team/

    • yeah we should beat them and should not let them start— lets buy only from largest companies

      • +2

That doesn't mean the claim is true.

They are a StartUp, well done. I expect to see many promos from them, on the road to customer acquisition. B&Ms should be price matching soon too, as soon as they see the threat.

    2.5% Isn't much of a discount

I like their search tool but prices aren't even close to what you can get by searching round

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DBA-Pair-Rotors-Rear-HONDA-ACCORD…
    2 rotors for $125

    https://www.sparesbox.com.au/front-brake-disc-rotor-dba2510-…
    $110 each

$92 each at Supercheap but they also have cheaper brands for $53 ea

    • You've compared front to rear rotors. DBA2510 are typically double the price of DBA2511.

The eBay seller you linked to - MRT Performance - sell DBA2510 for $128.68, while Spares Box's current price is $104.95, a difference of $23.73, or 23% more expensive at MRT.

      http://www.mrtperformance.com.au/product-detail?part_number=…

      https://www.sparesbox.com.au/front-brake-disc-rotor-dba-dba2…

Spares Box also have a far bigger product range.

      • wow, 5 week reply

Typo on my part there but you can still find cheaper

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DBA2510-Street-Series-Brake-Rotor…

        ~$90ea

and lets face it, any place where Super Cheap Auto is cheaper isn't a bargain

        • Typo? lol. So you missed-typed the link, the price and the comparison. Nice :)

Yeah, GetCarBitz generally has the best prices and I use them most of the time. But GetCarBitz has free delivery over $99, while Spares Box is free for over $50, so for orders between $50 and $99 Spares Box will often beat them. In my last order I purchased an oil filter, fuel filter, 2 x Aeropro wiper - Spares Box $90 vs GetCarBitz $95 vs Met Performance (don't stock) vs SCA… pffft. Spares Box typically beats out SCA on price.

Judging a business solely on one part isn't realistic. And as ever, it pays to just shop around.
