*EXPIRED* Expression of Interest for "Group Buy" (Pre-Order) of Cycliq Fly12 Cycling Front Camera + Light

EDIT: Kickstarter campaign not active (was expired way before this post).

First of all, mods, please let me know if this is against your T&Cs, or if you believe it belongs in the Classifieds section.

I'm considering pledging to the following Kickstarer campaign for 1 Cycliq Fly12.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fly6/fly12-cycling-acce…

Right now, a minimum pledge of $329 is required for a single unit, and a pledge of at least $578 for 2 units ($279ea).

In the OzBargain spirit, I'm hoping to save as much $$$ as I can, and saw that a pledge of $1245 gets you five ($249ea). So, I would be seeking 4 additional cyclists (or not) interested in this "group buy."

The only downside is the estimated delivery of these is November this year. That said, if it arrives before Christmas, it could make a great gift.

I'm in Melbourne so it may be better to organise this with Melburnians, so once they arrive we can meet to exchange money/goods. If local demand is low, it should be possible to complete this with interstaters, but additional postage costs from me to you (~$10) would apply.

Cheers.

  • I believe that you have miss out the kickstarter campaign as it was expired long time ago.

But you can preorder it from the official website for below price:

    1 x Fly12 = AUD 399 + AUD 15 postage
    2 x Fly12 = AUD 798 + AUD 24 postage
    3 x Fly12 = AUD 1197 + AUD 31 postage

Lastly, it probably wont take a stable video if you only rely on Fly12 itself.
You would need attach a gimbal unit then only you can have a stable video footage. However there is no gimbal for Fly12 yet.
I have a Zhiyun Z1 Rider2 Gimbal which work perfectly fine on my GoproHero. But the downside is it wont work with other action camera.

    • Wow, thanks for that. I haven't participated in a Kickstarter campaign before, and I guess for now that'll remain the case.

And thanks for the notes regarding stability. I'm not an avid rider, but with what appears to be growing animosity between other modes of transport and cyclists, it's more for insurance / self-preservation in case something goes wrong.
