Cheapest one-way flight from Ho Chi Minh (SGN) to Sydney (SYD) on 14/3/16?

Hi there,

My extended family is planning a trip across Asia and the cheapest tickets I've found so far are with Airasia for $290.01. I was wondering if anyone could help me find a cheaper one as the extra baggage (up to 20kg) will cost a whopping $78.96. I have to find ways to scrimp on the airline fees to make up for it!
There is a total of 9 of us.

    It's just going to keep going up unfortunately. During this special they started at $180 SGN-SYD, so you can either book now or hope they release more seats in another sale.

    You're unlikely to get cheaper than AirAsia on that route, perhaps not all 9 of you need 20KG and you can do 4*25kg or something similar to save a few dollars.

    I agree with zappy32. If money is really tight, maybe search doing Sgn - Kul and Kul - Syd with Airasia, but you would need to do 2 X immigration at Kul and collect & recheck baggage, which is a bit of a hassle. I wouldn't hold my breath for another AirAsia sale covering your date.
