Battlefield 4 Premium Edition $14USD (~ $20) OR Standard Edition $6.50USD (~ $9) @ Origin - Using Mexican VPN

80

I used Hola VPN extension for Chrome, but you can use any VPN with access to Mexican IP.

Here's how to get the cheap Mexican prices:

  1. Log out of origin.com if not already.
  2. Use VPN to get to Mexican Origin site.
  3. Add game to cart and go through checkout process.
  4. Log in at the login prompt
  5. Turn off VPN.
  6. Use paypal and done.

Wasn't Hola found to be riddled with security issues (in addition to joining your PC to a botnet and selling your bandwidth)?

  • Highly recommend SwitchySharp as an alternative VPN switcher.

Hola and Chrome - sounds like you don't value your privacy at all.

    • Oh? You included Chrome in your statement, is there something about Chrome's security we should know about?

      • Yeah. It's developed by Google. You know, the web front-end for the NSA. Use Comodo Dragon/Ice Dragon or the Tor Browser if you actually want a relatively secure browser.

        • Any proof? Not that I care, the NSA means nothing to me.

  • Wonder if this will work for battlefront? does anyone know if its region locked?

    • you dont buy the mexican version. you turn the vpn off after you get the thing in your cart and then go through the aus checkout

  • +3

just checked with the AUS origin store. price is $19.99 AU so no need to go through vpn..

    • yeah its 20 aud anyway,

      • i found that out after i did the whole mexican vpn thing. should of done my research haha

  • Is BF4 even worth playing still?

    • +1

yes, especially for premium, there are loads that still play. even battlefield 3. I guess it's still better than hardline.

    • +2

Absolutely, game is better than ever and DICE is doing a great job supporting it. You'll have to fiddle with the browser on Battlelog because it's really bad and very anal with certain options.

      • Just use IE with no ActiveX Filtering on the Battlelog page.

        • Chrome works fine now too.

    And it's a 58gb download for everything.

    RIP monthly quota
