How to Start a Food Truck Business

hi all,

i just wanted to get some insight into starting a food truck. I've done some research, however i would like to hear from anyone who owns a food truck or knows of anyone who owns a food truck and if there are tips that anyone should share with me.

any kind of direction would be great.

    Perhaps talk to council in relation to required permits and places you could set up.

    In my area (Hobsons Bay and Maribyrong / Inner West Melbourne) food trucks are forbidden in many areas and the councils charge a princely sum for permits to operate in the few designated areas. Something about protecting their rate-paying restauranteurs…

    • Thanks Mate, yeah i have looked into that, im in Richmond and there are a million restaurants here so i need to go ask them if they will give me a permit.

    You need to be able to cook to start off with….no one likes soggy pasta or slimy fried chicken…

    Permits for areas.

    Reliable truck.

      sorry i've been away for a while and haven't been on.

      currently alot of the work is done, i am looking for places that i can do a taste testing before i take it to market.
