hi all,
i just wanted to get some insight into starting a food truck. I've done some research, however i would like to hear from anyone who owns a food truck or knows of anyone who owns a food truck and if there are tips that anyone should share with me.
any kind of direction would be great.

haha yes i have..but somehow i dont think it is as easy as it looks hahah!
Perhaps talk to council in relation to required permits and places you could set up.
In my area (Hobsons Bay and Maribyrong / Inner West Melbourne) food trucks are forbidden in many areas and the councils charge a princely sum for permits to operate in the few designated areas. Something about protecting their rate-paying restauranteurs…
Thanks Mate, yeah i have looked into that, im in Richmond and there are a million restaurants here so i need to go ask them if they will give me a permit.
You need to be able to cook to start off with….no one likes soggy pasta or slimy fried chicken…

I assume you're thinking of buying second hand but if you're thinking of buying new I can put you in contact with a company that builds them in the Melbourne area.
It will mostly likely be second hand to start off with to keep the initial capital down…however will look to get something shiny and new if it does pick up.
