Best Value Paint Sprayer Gun?

Need to paint a 40 foot shipping container. What is the best bang for buck gun to get? Ideally something that covers a lot of area quickly. Should I go powered or compressor attachment? I'm looking for the cheapest option that will do the job quickly. Cheers for suggestions.

  • If it's a once off you would better hiring a gun from Coates

    • Thanks for the tip although it would later get used to do some internal walls and eventually the outside of the house also.

  • "it would later get used to do some internal walls…"

Given this, I feel obliged to advise you not to actually go for the absolute cheapest you can get. Those types of units might be OK for outdoor stuff like front fences, but the 'drippage', uneven coverage, etc. render them inappropriate for anything indoors, really. IMHO you'd need to go at least 'mid-range' to achieve decent results on internal walls without major 'collateral damage'.

  • After doing some research I'm leaning toward this unit http://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-650w-airless-spray-gun-with… the Ozito ASG-6000 @ $349. Seems to be the cheapest airless I can find that will draw paint directly from the tin. Also comes with a 3 year warranty which is nice. Just need to change the tip and add finer filter to do oil paints. The only negative is no wand attachment. I rang customer service and they don't have any wand or extension arm for this unit.

    • Hi figarow. Did you end up buying the Ozito spray gun? I'm considering it too as I do a bit of renovating work and currently need to respray my roof. I'm trying to decide between the Ozito or the Wagner http://www.bunnings.com.au/wagner-airless-sprayer-plus_p1560…

I'd love your feedback on the Ozito.

      Thanks
