Cheapest way to buy from IKEA overseas

My wife really wants this cabinet (Klingsbo Glass-door Cabinet Black)
it has been discontinued in Australia

What would be the cheapest way to get back over here? (adelaide 5000)

Its 2 boxes
45 x 9 x183cm 24.36kg
38 x 2 x 138cm 18.94kg

I notice US Ikea charges $99 USD to ship in CA California and alot more in the other Shipito states (plus then postage to Aussie)
couldnt work out canada or Uk

Is there any personal shopper services or something like that out there, It could come from a different o/s ikea aswell

    It isn't going to be worthwhile.

    The shipping cost for 45KG is going to $350+ for some cheap IKEA furniture. You'd be better to spend the extra money on some quality furniture for that price, there must be something available to you locally that's similar.

    If she really has her heart set on it, I'd imagine the cheapest way is to try and find someone with a contact in China that deals with exports who can buy it for $150AUD there and ship it to you.

    Alternatively, find one second hand. Put out some feelers on Gumtree etc. and I'm sure someone will be willing to sell at the right price!

      there is nothing elce really like that locally, She has been looking for 6 months… Im just sick of hearing about it…

      Yeh gumtree might be the go…

    Don't forget the price in Canada does not include tax yet- you have to add tax on top of the displayed price. The tax amount will vary by what province you want Ikea to ship to (different Provinces have different tax rates)

    It doesn't seem that special, I would spend the time and effort finding something better locally.

    If your wife isn't understanding and is simply sending you around on busy work for the sake of it I would also find myself a better wife.

    Used IKEA cabinets are popular on eBay/gumtree as many people can't be bothered assembling them. You may get lucky finding the cabinet you want.

    There's a few of this design on Gumtree. Not sure if Ikea still sell that model, haven't looked it up. She shouldn't care that much for some iron looking legs. Considering all the 2nd hand glass cabinets are going for around $50!

      Yeh it has to be black, And thats black brown.. And the iron legs go with other furnature… Yeh i know right..
