Asrock mobo rear USB 3.0 port not working (solved)

Hi all,

Got a Asrock B75 PRO3-M mobo. Just installed a new SSD with Win 7 64bit on my PC, and reinstalled everything from scratch. However, just realized the two rear USB3.0 ports won't work no matter what I tried thus far. No response from plugging in USB mouse & keyboard or any USB stick or HDD. No flashing no nothing. All the other USB 2.0 ports are working though. And it was also working before I changed over the SSD! I did install the Intel USB 3.0 driver & all the drivers listed in the link below:

Ran out of ideas what to try. Please help! Thanks!

P/S My mobo only has two rear USB 3.0 ports, the rest are all 2.0 ports AFAIK

    Hardware failure. If the motherboard is new, take it back and have it exchanged.

      nah been 2 years old..

      I refused to believe the ports was faulty. They were working before I reformat my SSD..surely can't be just the 3.0 that are not working?

      Any way to diagnose the problem?

        You could try removing the USB controller driver and reinstalling it. If I recall correctly, ASROCK uses Etron USB controllers.

        Is the BIOS also up to date? Flash the latest BIOS, do a reset, and then reboot the system.

        Also, does any of your front USB 3.0 headers also work?

    OMG SCRIMSHAW! YOU'RE A LEGEND! THAT DRIVER DID FIX THE ISSUE! I reflashed bios and then I could install the driver again.. yay!
