  • The 2013 Schild Estate Barossa Shiraz gets 89 points from James Halliday. Let's hope it's better than the 2011!

I think I also bought the 2011 Schild from vinomofo around a year ago for about $80 delivered. We only got through 3 bottles before we started giving them away.

      • I have 4 bottles left - progressively using them for the boeuf bourguignons I prepare during the winter months.

89 From Halliday is like 85 from anyone else.

  • yeah, OZB was going ga-ga over the Schild wines, so I bought some and was very disappointed by it.

Can anyone hazard a guess what this one is:

Vintage: The conditions throughout summer in South Australia were ideal for highlighting the sensational quality this state is capable of producing. The 2013 vintage was low yielding, resulting in exceptional wines with great intensity.

Nose: The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant, mulberries and mint with hints of spice.

Palate: The palate is refined and elegant with blackcurrant, violets and herbaceous notes followed by rich and well-integrated tannins

I liked the 2012 and the missus made great mulled wine with some too, had a $25 credit so got one. Thanks OP.

  • Great deal, pity I missed out.
