Seems to retail for $498, so up to you if $59 is a good saving.

Haven't heard a 'good' soundbar setup in person, but surely once you look to over $400 it's almost worth getting a 5.1 setup?

Also, if you're looking to spend over $400 now on home audio, probably better off just waiting 3 months for post Xmas sales

    • Thanks Spaceback, any suggestion for 5.1 system?

      • Depends what brand your tv is. Sometimes just more convenient having the blu-ray and surround sound as the same brand as the tv.

        • My TV is 55inch Sony and I already have a blueray player. Due to small space I was interested for a sound bar system

Reasonable sound bar, has HDMI inputs so it act as a receiver. Decodes all your typical blu-ray sound formats and has NFC/BT for easy music listening.

Personally I'd go separates over a soundbar any day. But I don't think you'd go wrong with this.

    • Thanks plmko.

  • Slightly off topic, but what are your thoughts re: sound plates (eg. Sony HTXT3?). Again due to space constraints I'm looing for something small, no sub and no additional wires.

  • was this the one on Dick Smith website? it was going for a good price, but wasn't sure it was worth the 100 or so dollars I would be paying for it as I saw Klipsch speakers going for bit more and they are a more trusted brand in sound.
