Good Online Jewellery Stores

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows the definitive place to buy online jewellery. I'm not looking for a startup but rather something like the equivalent of Amazon, but for jewellery. I want to know that anything I get will be made of high quality materials, but also be reasonably priced. By that I mean, if I bought a gold necklace for someone, their neck isn't going to turn black after wearing it for a little while. By gold, I mean actual gold.

I don't particularly want to go to Goldmark, Prouds, etc. because I prefer online. Although, since we're mentioning them, any idea when these stores have sales? I assume the next would be around Valentine's, right?

Thanks for any suggestions

  • Well, Amazon does do jewellery. ;) High quality, though? Not so much.

etsy has brilliant stuff. It's basically a place where a whole lot of designers and crafters sell their work and I've bought some gorgeous high-quality hand crafted jewellery for very decent prices. The benefit is that unlike Goldmark/Prouds, you know your jewellery is relatively unique and special.

Thaigem.com is a good place to buy gems and I believe they have a jewellery store but haven't bought jewellery from there before.

  • Hiya,

I'm currently looking for a men's wedding band, so am in a similar situation.

One of the stores here in Brisbane that stocks good quality jewellery is Gilletts. Their online store is pretty extensive, and I personally know others that are very happy with the jewellery from them.

If you do find somewhere please post, I'm interested too!

  • Howdy :)

Thanks for the replies. I've looked into all of the sites you two have listed and there's some really interesting stuff!

I had something really specific in mind, but no sites seemed to have it. Perhaps it's not "in-season". I decided to do the traditional thing (GASP!) and checked out all of the big jewellery stores, which was an interesting experience. In the end, it didn't work out. Noone could provide what I wanted.

It's amazing that we have the Internet, the source for anything and everything, but when it comes down to something as common and requested as jewellery, your request can't always be fulfilled.

Anyway, at the end of it all, I ended up buying from overstock.com. I've bought jewellery from them once before and the quality was great and it was priced fairly well.

I've got all of the sites mentioned bookmarked, so I'll keep looking at them in the future. Thanks again :)

  • Hi guys,

I am looking for a Christmas gift for my girlfriend. I was thinking about buying her a jewellery that she can use everyday at her office job (with reasonable price of course - I'm hoping online store would have better deals). I had a look at the previous posts, however since the last comment was 5 years ago, would you guys have any latest recommendation?

    • Try berricle.com. Great reviews, and great selection of jewellery. Cubic zirconia, not diamonds, but wedding forums are crazy about them because they're high quality CZ apparently. It looks like they have 40% off for spends above $100
