Reasonably Priced Timberland boots (Genuine)?

Looking to get some Timberland boots for less than the advertised price in most places ($280). I'm specifically looking for the regular sandy yellow coloured ones, with the black cushioning at the "rim." Preferably women's sized.

I have had a look around and have seen some cheaper priced ones (such as on CatchoftheDay) but I have no idea if they are genuine or not - I'm only looking for genuine ones (which is why it's hard to find some cheaper, I guess)

Thanks in advance!

I worked for Timberland in their London production office years ago. It was very interesting to see how they sourced every part of the shoe from different suppliers from different countries to obtain the cheapest components. the actual boots cost about $30 in materials and labour.

Just received an email from COTD who are having a timberlake "sale". they'd be genuine.

    • It's the same with just about all products. People are paying for the image, the brand etc…

  • Just out of curiosity - why timberland?
It was trendy after Doctor Martin 20+years ago.
A pair of Firetrap, same made same material, made in London, for half of the price.

    • You can buy those buckwheat style boots at K-mart, the Timberland brand was big back in the day with hip-hop heads, seems to still be popular now? I know Japanese and Koreans like them.

I've got a pair of Dickies buckwheat style boot, with steel caps. The brands ok but the price was right. Like $100, steel cap, with delivery from the U.S. I wear them for work.

      • Oh nice, may I have a link/where you got them from? I'm honestly just looking for a boot with good support that is decent-looking. Steel-caps would be a plus.

        • Bought this Firetrap Lumber boot Honey colour for $40 Still cheap after paying postag from UK. I had Timberland before, couldn't tell the difference.

        • @eatwell365: wow I wouldn't mind them, but the smallest size they have (40 2/3") is slightly too big for me (39").. hmm :/

    • Because I've had a look around and can't seem to find a supportive work-style boot that still looks decent in women sizes. If you have any recommendations please let me know :)

  • I bought a pair of Timberland boots recently from CatchOfTheDay and they were definitely genuine.

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe I should jump on the $180 sale they have now?

  • Go for it!!
