Will be moving into my own home soon and would like to update my tv. Don't want to spend much with around $2k budget for both combine. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a combo deals at big places like TGG, JB etc..?

To answer your question, yes it definitely is. Whatever their "lowest price" is for one, they would go at least 5% less per unit if you bought 2, and probably more like 10%.
Work out what you would consider to be your happy price and offer it.
you might want to go into some of the places and speak directly with the manager of that section to see what they can do. some stores might have some run outs or stock that they need to get rid of cheap, then do some research I guess.
Just wait for post Xmas sales :)
