Thoughts On or Experiences with Joseph Joseph Products

Hi OzB, you were all so helpful with finding a cutlery set that I thought I'd reach out again. I'm very new to buying home essentials and I'm slowly looking collecting the basics for my first kitchen (pots, pans, cutlery, miscellaneous items) and I came across what I think is a good deal at COTD ($39), the Joseph Joseph Nest 9 Plus Food Prep Set, it typically retails at around $80. I do love the design and the fact that it compacts so many items. I feel like $39 is a pretty good deal but I haven't had a lot of experience with their products other than the 'chop 2 pot' board which I love. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • We've got that set of bowls plus the utensil set ( http://www.everten.com.au/joseph-joseph-elevate-carousel-ute… )
Paid about the same as COTD. Use it almost every night for the past year or so and love it.
The more frequently used utensils are starting to stain a tiny bit but otherwise are working great.
Dont use the bowls too much but they stack great and are quite useful.
Would definitely recommend but not if its anywhere close to the RRP they usually have.

    • Thanks mate! Just ordered it off COTD with the Visa Checkout 20% off which covered the $10 shipping. Buzzing!

      • +1

Yeah go nuts, thats very cheap! That's deal worthy!

        • Always nervous about Kogan quality…random, what is a turner? Is it basically a spatula? I am unformed a new to the kitchen ;)

  • Some Joseph Joseph stuff are great but they also have some fails.
The Nest food prep set is great, but the colander is flimsy and ours broke. My wife was too quick to throw it out and not claim a refund though.

Their tongs are completely useless. The dish rack is a dirt trap.

But I do like their small scales, chopping boards and their basic utensils (especially the spatula).

    • If the colander goes haywire then I'll be quick to try to claim the refund. Doubt COTD would honour it though sadly. Huge fan of their chopping boards too, hopefully Santa will deliver those this year ;)
