  • Looks like Kogan have a few at around $125 (not sure if exactly the same model though?):

It's probably worth paying a few more dollars for the faster local delivery and the reliability of PC Byte over Kogan :)

There's quite a few sellers of the 500GB listing at $255, compared to Futu's $268.5 (before Ebay's discount).

Yeah, I'm looking at the same thing at the moment

Yeah got the EVO 850 250GB in mSATA version for my gaming laptop, Windows 8.1 now loads in 7 seconds :D Wondering why I waited so long to get one :D

  • 500GB seems to be coming to AU $218.41 instead of $228.23 with free parcel shipping. Though i chose registered post.

    • Yep the price dropped! Link has been updated.

  • These are awesome, have one in my current PC at the moment

Will I notice a a speed difference between this and sandisk one?

    • Not really.. Samsung have great software though (migration, maintenance, updates) - not sure about SanDisk..

  • There is also a cheaper 500GB with PCByte ? Is there a difference? Can I use this on a desktop too? http://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/161559077011

    • Yes you can use it in your desktop machine.

Though I don't see how $256 is cheaper than $228?

      • +1

$256 after 15% discount is $218. The price did drop from $268. Thanks I will update the link!

  • OK, that adds up better then, I wasn't awake to the 15% discount.

  • What's the lifespan like on these drives with the TLC nand over the MLC nand?

    • Tlc is larger die so both technologies are about same at 3000 write cycles per cell

  • Any 1tb drives on special ?

  • This is an awesome deal! Should have waited for this instead of buying the Crucial model. Oh well.

    • +1

I managed to call up and cancel the Crucial and order this one!

This Samsung SSD is faster than the Crucial one as far as I can tell…
