Just went down to Harvey Norman and picked up 50 DVD-R for $9.95. Thought this was a good deal.

Yeah, i saw that too……i think the brand was "MDR" and speed was 1-16x (DVD-R)

I guess these would be okay if all you're looking to do is to quickly share around files. If you're looking to store/backup files though, I would go for something more reputable. Perhaps a box of Verbatim DVD-Rs which IIRC were $17 for 50 the last time I bought some from HN.
