We decided to give everyone who purchases our Geronimo Jerky, a bag of our new Flavour or two or three-ANY purchase will enable you to get FREE JERKY. If you buy the variety pack or bigger you will get to try all three of our new flavours.

The Big Chief spent the last few months of last year acquiring herbs, spices, chillies and all sorts of weird and wonderful ingredients, to bring you three fantastic new flavours!

SIDEWINDER was invented after the big chief secretly searched out local chilli growers for a new taste to add to his secret marinade. He found one called the Chocolate Habanera. Sidewinder has wonderful fresh chilli taste, but without too much heat. So it’s not as hot as Blazin’ Saddle, but hotter than Spicy Shaman. It leaves a lovely zing all through your mouth, with a combination of fruity capsicum and peppery zest.

Ever since we put Blazin’ Saddles out, people have asked for something that’s a bit hotter. So for those of you that asked, welcome FLAMIN' ARROW. We intend this to be the hottest Beef Jerky in Australia. It will knock your socks off, but with retaining that wonderful Geronimo Jerky flavour. This flavour also comes with a warning to wash your hands after eating as the Big Chief will attest to after visiting the little boys room after eating one night! Ouch!

Last and certainly not least we have BUCKSHOT. This flavour is great to have at happy hour! With a wonderful bit of bite, it has a peppery taste to liven up all your tastebuds and lets them sing. It’s not too hot, it’s a bit dry and by goodness it’s a cracker of a flavour!

All 3 new flavours will be launched and ready for sale on Monday 1st of February.

              @GeronimoJerky: Nup wasn't torn! It looked like the bag had been heat sealed and then opened perfectly on one half of the heat seal. There are still residue marks which means that there was once jerky in there. It made me laugh though lol

      It should be noted, this wasn't an attempt to discredit or support Geronimo. I've never asked for a sample nor ordered from them, and while I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bargain or not it rides the line well enough to not be a neg.

      This was simply an amusing obseration based on previous listings.

      I hate having to explain these things. Takes the fun out of it.

          We have sent samples at stamp size (slightly bigger) to not only reduce postage but enabling us to send to more people.

          Its just perfect to do its job of being a sample-gives you a taste of our product.

      Have a look and see.

      If you buy a 40g bag you get a sample free-if you buy a variety pack you get a free 40gram bag of your choice of new flavour -If you buy a 200gram
      gram bag you get a 40gram of your choice and two samples of the other new flavours-if you buy half a kilo you get 2 x 40gram bags (new flavours)of new flavour and a sample of the new one and lastly if you buy a kilo you get a 40 grma bag x 3 of all new flavours

                      people should look at all your past post's and not bother responding to you-your just in it to stir the pot.

                      I didnt put this deal in the FREE section because you have to purchase something (which I am sure you havent done in a long time)

                      In my eyes if your getting something that you normally wouldnt such as if you buy a variety pack for $17 you get THREE

                      40gram bags of Geronimo Jerky but with our current deal you get 1 FREE making it FOUR….sound like you buy and you get free

                      jerky…hence free with purchase…

                      I dont find any of the 10+ comments you have made in most of my post constructive criticism but more malicious then anything else.

    Just to let you know we have been sending out the free samples weekly but no one has bothered mentioning it so if people could speak up-secondly we have found alot of people that have complained about not getting a free sample didnt actually register as request on original post.

    • Does the product label say "Made from cow sourced in Australia"? - I ask because it means I can take it overseas and customs will allow it.

        Since I dislike the term 'sourced' I'd go with the label "Australian Beef".

          We are only sending the original as not everyone likes hot food.

          And yes it was 3 samples to the first 100 memebers but we finished sending the first 100 last year and

          are up to just over 1400 samples out.

          If you've tried the 2 flavours BC sent you and liked it, then it's a sign that their product is up to your expectation right? So why not make a variety pack purchase to try all the other flavours including the 3 new ones? Better solution than harping on why you were not sent all the samples. :)

            @ohsnap: Firstly I wasn't harping on. I was just under the impression that the sample included all 3 flavors. Considering he didn't reply to my other mails, I was just checking if the 2 Original flavors I received (in different letters) was a mistake or intentional.

            If you read my post above you will note that I greatly enjoyed them, and tasted much much much better than the jacks version, which is to 'fake' i guess.

            So I might buy some soonish to support it..

            Having said all that, I have been experimenting with my own beef jerky the last couple months. Mine rae no way near as good but ill get there :D

            I dont recall an email-Send me an email direct to [email protected] and when we get more promo stock I will get it sent.

            You would be the first to not receive a shirt and I think the service has been very good.

            I think the sore point for some people is the old samples and we have already sent out over 1400 samples-

            I had people complaining that they didnt receive samples in this post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/20809 and we received 28 emails from

            that said they entered for free samples but never really did.

    Hi BC, I posted the last time suggesting you revise the postage charges and it's great to see you've introduced the variety pack with combined postage. I will make an order to taste them now.

    Just wondering, since you say it's launching 1st Feb, does that mean we will only get our order then? If I order the variety pack, I know I get to choose a free 40g pack of the new flavour - but will you also be including a small sample of the other new flavours?

    Swimmingtoad, I forgot to mention, the only good jerky from Jack Links that I would buy are their Steak Bar range. Their other products are just too small/dry/hard and too chewy (like plastic) imo. They used to have one in steak cube, but I can't find them anymore :(

      In the pipeline-as with all gluten free products they charge an arm and a leg-I am currently working on reducing the cost of making it and improving the taste- then its off to the food scientist for testing. I am aiming for March and I think I can deliver all 6 flavours as gluten free.

    Well I received my sample the other week.

    Interestly enough I received 2 letters, each with 1 10g sample of the oridgional flavour. For some reason I thought it was 1 of each flavour?? Regardless, the beef jerky tasted awsome. Would be good to try the other ones but. o well..

    BTW is your brisbane shop up and running yet? I seem to recal you sayaing it will be opening in the new year?? This is as I visit close to the shop and yea

    OO and in regards to the Jacks beef jerky (only brand I see in the shop), they taste like pastic compared to these. They are salt loaded crap (compared to this jerky IMO). Taste so much realer haha :D So if you can afford it go for it =]

    Thanks Big Chief for the sample. The Original arrived yesterday but the plastic bag was opened at both ends. I'm a bit of a clean freak so I gave it to the dog, he loved it. I really liked your letterhead, it's very catchy. All the best.

      Hello Patatas,

      I am concerned as I helped pack the samples and cant understand how they could be opened on both sides.

      The packet comes sealed on onside like a pocket and we put sample in and heat seal the open side.

      On the other hand I am glad your dog liked it did you get him to sit?

        I just put in another order for some jerky. Can't get enough of it!

        The package probably gets thrown around a bit during postage. Maybe it would be worth looking for a way to vacuum seal the packets? If there is a bit of air in the packets, and they place something heavy on top, maybe it causes it to break?

      Can I suggest a solution Big Chief? (it's too late to say no :P)

      Track all outstanding requests for samples on a simple spreadsheet in chronological order, and include an auto numbered column so that you have a fairly good idea of when customer xxx will get their sample based upon their # in the queue.

      If someone needs to be bumped up the list you just cut the row and insert them higher up.

      It seems the sample issue is causing the most pain. But after receiving the sample 90% of customers are happy.
