What's so good about these cases? $36 is pretty expensive.
They're built really well, I've seen some tradies with defenders that cop some serious abuse and they pull the handset out and its like new!
From my experience they are the best case. I once tripped on the road and dropped my Samsung S3 face down scrapped it down the street, case was in bad shape but the phone was fine.
Looks like curved screen protectors on sale too.
Sure I could get one for $1 on ebay from HK but don't want to wait that long.
Those shopping center booth places wanted $29 for a curved protector that covers the edges too not just the flat bit (but they also apply it).
Anyone know of a better option?

I ordered mine and the screen protector as well :) by the way will it really matter if there is no screen protector on the side glass if the case covers it ??
Well first time I've ever had a curved edge phone so no idea but I'd image I'd get annoyed seeing the edge of the screen protectors going down the sides of the screen if it didn't cover the whole screen.
On another note there were those clear gel cases in the bargain bin at the Telstra shop for $10 so I went with one of those instead :)
No idea about stocks in other stores though so probably not deserving of a post unless other people see it too.
haha yeah… i'm friggen hopeless with phones that's why im getting the OtterBox. I don't even want to think what it will cost to fix a curved edge phone screen
Oh yeah, I forgot to add that the guy at dick smith even offered to apply it for me.
Caught me off guard that I store at him for a moment and then realized I left the phone at home anyway. Then he tells me it's fine if I just take the receipt and protector back (to prove I bought from them) and they'd apply it for me later on but I couldn't wait and did it myself anyway.
Pretty happy with the results for the most part other than the fact that my house is super dusty and I got a tiny spec in the corner but oh well.
That's awesome. I hope they put mine on. I managed to get dust on the phone when I was using it earlier and don't have any of those special cloths anyway i'll know tomorrow when I pick my order
Even if they don't, it's pretty easy to do.
Especially with the newer ones where it almost feels as though there's liquid under the protector that pulls the plastic to the screen.
There's all the stuff you need in the package too like a dust cloth and squegee thing.
But no instructions, and a few things in the package I didn't figure out what it was lol, I think there was one sticky pad thing that's meant to pull of dust, and 2 little sticky tab things which I think is used if you want to pull the screen back off the phone but who knows.
oh cool, that's great. i'll just do it myself then. I'm going to ask if they can give me a white otter case & I also bought the clear view case because I want to see which one I like better. put them through hell in true ozbargain style lol

I'd suggest you feel the case before buying - I found some of the Otterbox models were slippery to hold - exactly why I wanted a case - Thx for the share :)
