Jumping Castle Hire or Buy?

Hi Guys,

While i was searching for links to hire a jumping castle the minimum price i found is around $150 for 4 hours. At the same time it seems buying a castle of same size costs me around $200.

Can you please advise me whether to buy or hire? also where is it cheap to buy/hire?

I am looking for a place near by parramatta,NSW

It is hard to tell without seeing both. The quality of the plastic might be different, the hired one may come with better tethering points and weights, the hire might include inflating and deflating it. Also, if you buy it, where do you intend to store it after you have used it. All things that need to be considered. Some news articles have likened bouncing castles to putting little kids into a mosh pit. There is a risk that kids will bounce into each other and cause injuries.

  • Will hiring it have them cover setup and removal? How much is your time worth? And will you use it more than once?

    … I just don't even…

  • given all the same (materials, size, features, work involved to setup) I'd go for the buy option.

It'll pay itself back even if you use it more than just once!

  • But does that $200 cover just the castle itself, or does it include all the tethers and also the motor/fan to keep it inflated at the right pressure?

Also, unless you are going to be using the castle more than just a once or twice off thing, I'd probably opt for the hire.

  • Thanks all for your valuable suggestions.

It seems it is better to hire rather than buying. Can you please provide me the options to hire.
