  • I don't know about the RS220, but I shopped for a few months before buying the HD650s a couple of years ago (ended up buying them from Amazon.fr).

Noisymotel and Addicted to Audio are both reputable Australian sites that offer free shipping. Otherwise, I would check across the various Amazons, Newegg and/or head.fi forums if you're OK with second hand.

    • lol did yo0u see the discount they give just 5am this morning it was -45% now it -39%. Was 499 now 693 so that a saving of -39% lol

Good stores that I have used include:

    minidisc.com.au (Sydney based)
    headphones.com.au (WA based)

Neither are going to be amazingly cheap but they provide a good benchmark for what Australian stock should cost. Watch out for sales at DSE, JB HiFi and Officeworks if you are not looking for the high end.

Other places that come up through OZB, but I have not used include:

    DWI (HK based)
    Massdrop (also overseas)

    • been using massdrop for about 5yrs now back then items so much cheaper now it just that cheap. Just got an headphone tube amp for them last week. another store got shure se535 earphone for $422 now need headphone and amp

    • need high end, just last yr have a huge collection of high end audiophile equip until house burnt down, and now i cant go back to cheap equipment. It just doesnt satisfied my ears

    • yeh been checking it out last few weeks they do have some cheaper items there

  • dude I would suggest to have a look at:

the head-fi forum - the chinese thread has some pretty good stuff in it

    massdrop

  • Addicted to Audio - They may not always be the cheapest, but they do have good prices and sometimes excellent discounts. Service is top-notch too.

  • I am a big fan of sennheiser . I own a Sennheiser Audiophile HD 650 Headphone. I bought my headphone from bay bloor radio near my home in Toronto. It.It is the ultimate in dynamic headphone design. It gives us lifelike reproduction of sound.

There was an offer going on during the time i ordered the headphone. The delivery was smooth and got te product in good quality.

    • yeh i too love sennheiser, had HD650 as well but house burnt down so now have to recollect everything :(

  • Thinking of the Hifiman 901 player, anyone here tied them before?

  • I have heard good tgings about hd650. How about hd700 is it a lot better?
How about hd600, is it a lot worse?
Just trying to figure out the price difference vs the quality difference between those models

Hd650s and HD600s are (according to reviews) substantially similar, with the HD650s taking a 'darker' tone. Given the $100 price difference, I would probably buy the HD600s (I only bought the HD650s because of how cheap they were!)

I don't think HD700s have great reviews. You would have to go up to the HD800s to get a noticeable difference (although I wouldn't recommend it for the huge price jump).

    • You will need decent amps to run most of these headphone

      • yeah, I have echo audiofire 4 which hopefully is enough for these headphones
