  • "the winner (and/or travel companion) must have a full, clean drivers license valid for use in the UK ".
"The hire is restricted to one driver".
Why does the travel companion need a full, clean drivers license (sic)? (they say' and/or').
What is a 'full clean driver's licence'? Does it mean one must have NO points on one's licence? At least here in NSW, the revenue people are so enthusiastic about handing out fines, it is now almost entirely only licensed-non-drivers and non-licensed people who have no points. And I won't go near insurance companies who offer discounts for people with no points, but that's another story.
Is an Aussie licence valid for use in the UK?
"car hire for UP TO 4 days'? 'Hi, we know you're in the boonies near Inverness, but we want the car back by midday'…
But being a avid OzBargainer, I'll enter anyway. It'll give me a chance to wear some of the remaining dozens of sox and jox I bought a while back - still in their wrappers.

  • I would assume full clean licence means no offences, suspensions, etc.
I also live in NSW and have NO points so as enthusiastic as they are about handing out fines, you won't get fined or harassed as so many people claim, if your abiding by the road rules. I'm happy they hand out fines to those who don't, keeps my family and I safe when we're on the road.
