Can The Stick from Dyson DC35 Used for DC58 Animal?

I purchased a DC35 many years ago, so it's no longer covered by warranty. Recently the main component was broken. I wonder if I can buy a DC58 & use the handstick from DC35. Does anyone have any experience/advice? TIA

    good question. maybe just take it into a store that has display stock (myer, harvey norman etc) and try it out

      I thought about it in the past. Unfortunately, just had a newborn, have to take care of my baby.

    i also thought about buying the base model for around $300 and then just buying the pipe, but looking on dysons parts website, they dont even sell the pipe. im sure they would change fitment between models so you cant mix and match (just like apple change their charger type and dont make it a generic cable either)
