How do you get the code WITHOUT Razer Comms?
To joint you need to follow the link http://rzr.to/deviliancommunity which redirects to razercomms:community/view/blahblahblah (blah is a placeholder for a long alphanumeric).
Sorry Michal, I don't think you can. Razer comms isn't a very big download anyway so don't worry about that aspect. But the reason it's there is because it is promoting Razer comms AND Devilian. Just download Razer Comms and you should be able to get the beta key.
It works its free, thumbs up.

I needed to download Razer Comms to go to the link (same error as michal).
I needed to sign up to Glyph.
I needed to download Glyph client.The beta is valid for the following duration:
October 22 - 26! Our servers open at 10:00 AM PST on Thursday and close at 10:00 AM PST the following Monday.
GETTING STARTED
Get Glyph, the desktop launcher for Devilian:
If you don't already have Glyph, you can download it from www.Glyph.net. Click "INSTALL GLYPH" at the top of the page and run the installer after it downloads.Install Devilian Beta:
Launch Glyph, log in, and choose Devilian from your "LIBRARY" tab. Select "Beta" from the drop-down box in the top-right corner and click the "INSTALL" button.Play Devilian:
To play during a Closed Beta Event, just launch Glyph, choose Devilian Beta, and click "PLAY" (or "UPDATE" to patch). Note: You can save time by installing Devilian before your Closed Beta Event begins!
