why are you linking to your website? use ozbargain's media uploader instead.

Doesn't the uploader say something about not using it when not neccessary to save network bandwidth and disk space for ozbargain?

  • Lots of ice cream deals as of late. Prefer this to the 20 for $20 as I don't need that many, so this is good - thanks :)

good deal thanks for posting it up, kaizer is just unappreciative

I never said anything bad about the deal, geez, just commenting…
I didnt read anywhere in the terms of the uploader that mentioned stuff about saving bandwith.

The media uploader has this tho:

      Advertisements

As consideration for using the Service, you agree and understand that OzBargain may display ads and other information adjacent to and related to the any content posted. OzBargain serves relevant ads using a completely automated process that enables OzBargain to effectively target dynamically changing content.

So by using the uploader, ozb actually benefits from targetting ads for us.
Plus, wouldn't that create the precedent whereby everyone hosts deals on their own website for financial gain in the form of google adwords, etc?

      • +3

As far as I know there are know ads when you press the link for the picture on the OP post. (However I may be wrong I have ABP) Therefore Ozbargain would find no financial gain in me uploading the picture to their servers, and would in fact use more money on bandwidth.

Its called adsense, adwords is an unrelated service regarding advertisements found while performing a Google search.

        • I'm not sure but maybe what his last statement meant is that everyone might start hosting the deals on their own website to drive traffic there. Increase in traffic on one's personal website in turn gives one revenue from ads.

        • Post the pic on OzB and lets end the arguments eh?

    Yes - I don't like Drumstick and I don't like Woolworths.

    Win Win for me!

  • Cornetto is also a better option for those with peanut allergies…

Nearly all drumsticks have peanuts, more of the cornetto varieties have other options…
