Has anybody else dealt with this company? Feel I might have made a big mistake in ordering with them.They seem like EBAY but are based in USA.
I made orders from a few of their suppliers , some have been received & am happy with. Some were refunded as " suspicious orders " ( whatever that means )& 2 others are stating " posted - awaiting receipt". All orders stated that delivery would be 15-45 days -this was 31/08/2015 - so it is now over 60 days. This company also incorporates a buyer protection plan to implement a dispute should the goods not arrive in the stated time frame. As the awaiting items have not arrived I have opened the dispute process but haven't yet had a response from ALIEXPRESS. However have had one from one of the missing shipments company who are asking for more time to track the order & also asking me not to open a dispute process. What do I do ? - I don't want to be harsh & ruin somebodies livelihood - just want my paid for, ordered goods.
I've made about 250 orders with aliexpress. Shipping times can be up to 9 weeks. Especially for the untracked China post small parcel service. Even with regular surface post with a tracking number can take 3-7 weeks.
Aliexpress uses their own escrow service which means they hold youroney until you confirm satisfactory receipt of the item. Just watch the "buyer protection" clock in "your orders". If it gets down to 5 days left then I start a " dispute" with aliexpress. So I've had to do a nonreceipt of item dispute 5 times and received my money back. These were all for small items.
Once I had an order and the tracking number said it was bound for Russia. 2 weeks later of was marked as received by the China post. I disputed that and got reimbursed.
Overall my experience with aliexpress has been very good and I have no hesitation in recommending that site to people. I always explain to them that postage can take a while and to avoid memory sticks/ micro SD cards that are too cheap as they will be fake.
With the dispute and that company - there is an option to extend delivery time. Its to the right of the item on the my orders page. It extends that buyer protection time by 2 weeks. I've done it a few times. Usually the item arrives. Twice it hasn't and I've opened a dispute and reciwbed my money back.
