Hi all. Looking to get a KitchenAid Artisan mixer or the professional one.
Just wondering if it's worth the effort to ship from the US + get a transformer, which I hear is quite expensive. See Whirlpool thread below.

Seriously been looking to buy one for a very very very long time now..but can't justify the price just yet =)
I hope it drops even lower (although I don't see why it hasn't already due to our Aussie dollar trading so high against the US).
Kitchenware Direct has it for $649 delivered.. and has lots of colours.

Personally would NOT buy from the US and get a transformer, mainly due to warranty reasons.
I like buying in Australia as it's covered by warranty and I can write to the place or take it there to complain if something goes wrong… Especially for electronics and such expensive kitchen appliances!
