Can someone recommend 4 camera security system with good resolution for less than $300? I was looking on Ebay and found this system with 1 TB HDD

However my electrician is saying that this system is crap due to bad picture quality and thin power cables. I can see more than 600 pieces have been sold so I am confused.
Please assist to find the right cameras.
