  • Great Deal! I wish they had sugar free :(

    • Thanks, but how do you know they don't? They haven't even mentioned the kinds they do have.

      • I don't think V even make the sugar free kind in the 500mL can.

  • Nice Im gonna pick up a case or two

Aren't energy drinks bad for health?

    • Compared to what? Everything's killing us!

      • +1

compared to a cup of coffee. look how much sugar and other crap is in them its really quite sickening…

        • No worse than softdrink, lollies, chocolate… everything in moderation.

          • @noyesmaybeok: How can it be?! You don't see health organisations calling for warning labels on soft drinks, lollies, chocolate…

Energy drinks are worse than soft drinks! Period!

            • @browser: No good for your liver I hear. Causes a boost in insulin which will get turned into fat if you don't burn it.

            • @browser: Pfft, they are useless. Simple read the label to see the amount of sugar in it, no worse than softdrink. Some chocolate (I even have some in my pantry) is SEVENTY percent sugar, which is FAR worse than any energy drink. And it's Nestle, before anyone tries to write some BS response about it's just some cheap rubbish one.

              • @noyesmaybeok: What about caffeine and taurine? These are the actual problem bits, not sugar.

                • @[Deactivated]: Caffeine is in coffee, in Coca Cola. I'd put money lots of people that say energy drinks are bad drink caffeinated beverages.

                  http://wilstar.com/caffeine.htm

"Taurine in regularly used as an ingredient in energy drinks, with some containing as much as 1,000 mg per serving.[17] A 2003 study by the European Food Safety Authority found no adverse affects for up to 1,000 mg of Taurine per kilogram of bodyweight per day, however this was in regards to Taurine alone, noting they did not compare the effects of Taurine when combined with the other ingredients in energy drinks.[18]"

Can't find much evidence saying taurine is bad.

          • @noyesmaybeok: how can you have a 500ml can of V in moderation?

            37 grams of sugar
            390mg of sodum
            155mg of caffeine.
            + the rest.

where is the moderation in that!?

            • @lazed: Ironic the back of most 250ml cans say "no more than 1 day" but they sell 500ml versions :-)

        • True. I only drink sugar free myself. Guess I'll be getting cancer from the aspartame, but at least I won't be fat :/

          • @[Deactivated]: LOL, death by sugar or death by chemicals… guess either way is just as bad.

            • @noyesmaybeok: Can't escape this 'death' figure these days.
Sugar, Fat and Salt all give diseases apparently.

  • but i can't drink a cup of coffee in the library…

    i can a can of V though

    XD (me after a V)

that shit has gotta be bad for you

  • +2

Still prefer the Coles 250ml cans deal as don't need to consume the whole 500ml in one hit if you don't feel like

    • drink half now half later?

      • Regular V tastes bad enough. Flat V would be nasty.

    • me too…500ml is too much! I even cannot drink 375ml coca at one time!
