Bargain on movie ticket?

I wonder why we have an entertainment category on deal but not on forums, so I have to post it here.

Anyway, just when we've sorted out the babysitting issue and decide to enjoy some movies, movie deals have become a rarity. Telstra has raised their Telstra Thanks movie to $12.5 from 1st Nov and we don't have Optus account. Anyone has any trick for cheap movie deal, preferably under $10? I understand Hoyts has $9 voucher via Visa checkout but this one expire soon.

  • buy events cinema voucher $40 for $50 credit.
    Use on telstra.. = $10 a ticket

  • +1

Unfortunately I live in VIC, where there's only one event cinema, the rest a re village (through telstra)

  • Some workplaces have clubs that offer discounted tickets. Are you able to get these at your workplace?

Do you know anyone that has an Optus account who may be able to get the tickets for you?

  • Try RACV. Their adult movie tickets for Hoyts and Village are over $10 but last I checked they were under $12.

The Hoyts ones were $10.75 when I bought one a couple of months ago but I think the Village ones were slightly higher. There are discounts available on the childrens tickets as well when you're ready to take them to the cinema.

  • Pickup a $2 sim

    • yeah, actually paid only 10c for them, but Optus system takes a while to recognise the number.
