    Just keep it all?

  • PayPal gift or goods transaction? Buyer will get money back if it was goods sale when disputed

  • If you choose to keep it all, the buyer would possibly raise a dispute via paypal.

Having said that, that's possibly what I would do as I have attempted to deliver the product to the buyer.

And I assume this is a one off transaction, right? You are not selling dictionary for living. There's no reputation on gumtree…

    • Sorry, I mis read the second option. That's probably what I would do…offer to resend at buyers cost.

  • What does the buyer want to do?

  • So just to clarify it was posted to the buyer and presumably you have proof of this?

Then delivery was attempted but the buyer wasn't at home so a card was left but the buyer never organised re delivery ? So it was returned to you?

Presumably the buyer had the tracking number? Australia post aren't exactly known for reliability and if the buyer didn't know the parcel was even delivered which is extremely possible (given I got a card for a parcel addressed to someone 5 streets away) it might not be their fault.
