eBay System Fail with The $50 Voucher

I used the $50 voucher from eBay on 24/10 and purchased 5 items. Paypal charged me the residual amount (after deducting $50) but my transactions did not appear in eBay summary. I waited a couple of days but still nothing appeared. I contacted eBay who then told me to escalate the matter within Paypal. I have explained to them that paypal did nothing wrong in this case. The items had been charged and it's eBay's system failed to record the transactions. However, they insisted that I need to deal with paypal. I did what they suggested and one of the sellers got back saying that he couldn't see any transaction record in ebay too. The possible response I think I can get from paypal would be to refund the purchases, which the $50 voucher would then become invalid as it can only be claimed before end of October.

Anyone had the same situation? Any advice on what I can do to either proceed the purchases or refund the $50 voucher which I can still use?

  • ebay system glitch, show your paypal transaction to ebay customer device, and blamed their system glitch , didn't shown up the transaction. you have evidence, right ?

    • I showed them the screenshots. They said I need to escalate the matter in paypal, not ebay. I had like 5 emails exchanged with them, and all of them copied the same response from their template.

And like I mentioned, even if paypal got the purchases refunded, it wouldn't be in my account as the voucher would have been expired.

  • Same situation. I've been asked to show a screenshot.

    Did you get it resolved?

    • I have had numerous emails with ebay and paypal. I had to raise a dispute for all those transactions. Paypal was very nice, even though they didn't do anything wrong, they gave me some credit. Ebay's response was to wait till the dispute had been resolved, and then they decide what are they gonna do with the voucher.
