Actually Titanfall still has an active player base, on attrition at least, with 5000 to 7000 people playing, and usually every time you search for a game you will find one, but if you have EA Access don't bother with this.
Seen these comments many times on ozb (no one plays titanfall anymore) but I'm keen to try out the game. Do I need xbox live gold pass or ea access? Or both??

EA Pass is a rental service, offering a range of full EA games, including Titanfall. This is an alternate method of purchasing the game.So yes, you need both to play online. Unless you buy the physical copy, where you only need the Xbox Gold sub to play.

I actually genuinely enjoyed this game, one of the only FPSs (particularly on Live) you don't need to live on to actually get something out of.
