Hello Fellow Bargainers,
I'm wanting to take my fiance on a boat for valentines day but am having trouble finding one with good reviews.
A nice boat with catering and maybe some entertainment/drinks etc. Food must be amazing! I've heard bad review about food on these boats.
Any help would be great and any other suggestions, other than boat, are welcome.
Give me some ideas!

Here are some words of wisdom from someone who has "overpaid" many a time. You either get a boat trip or amazing food - they are mutually exclusive. The combination of "Valentines day","boat trip" and "amazing food" would be difficult to find. Suggest "amazing food" on the 13th followed by nice boat trip with ok catering on 14th would be your best bet. Where do you want to sail? Syd? Mel? Perth? bris?

Can agree with that, exception being the nice cruise ships :) But not so relevant for a one day event.

sounds corny but us women go for it
to be honest a cruise is busy, noisy and a little fussy
but a picnic - well its just for the recepient
mind you I am not talking a roast chook from coles here and a bit of potato salad
get out the china, tablecloth and some champagne flutes… if you cant cook chat to a caterer about food
and bring your ipod for the romantic music

If she likes you she'll appreciate the thought you've put into it regardless if it doesn't "impress". Just make it something you're both likely to enjoy. If she just wants to compare notes/boast to her friends the next day well… Is she planning something special for you too?
