Need to Get ADSL2+ Internet, What Is The Quickest Set-up?

Hello,

I have been trying to get the internet for days. I bought Belong internet today but the technician date is in 4 weeks time, which I find unacceptable. The phone line is active but they say it has been inactive for more than 12 months and therefore a technician needs to come out and install the service.

I am therefore, looking for another provider because I am going to cancel Belong.

I am looking for a 6 month minimum contract (month-to-month). Price was a factor, however if I have to pay more for a connection that will come sooner than 4 weeks then so be it.7

I tried Dodo, and they were quoting me in excess of $300 just to have it installed and for the first month.

I also require a modem as I do not have one. I had no idea that it would be this complicated to get the internet connected to the first apartment that I have ever lived in.

I am in desperate need to get an internet connection.

Any help would be appreciate. Thank you in advance.

    Buy a pre-paid mobile internet modem, live with that for 4 weeks until your line is hooked up.

    Try calling Belong and cancelling the plan… I did this due to an apparent long wait time for connection, told them why I was cancelling and had someone there for connection the next week.

    Well what do you know? I called up yesterday to cancel it and they said that they will come on Monday. Job well done I think.
