Looking for a Kangaroo PC, but can't find anyone that will send one to Australia. I'm interested in other devices that have the z8500 or z8700 chip if anyone has any other alternative suggestions.

Slight decrease in CPU performance. Similar GPU performance.
Regardless of which X5 chip you get, both are not high-performance parts and shouldn't be relied on to give you any more than 'netbook' level or tablet-grade performance. But as the reviews go, they are good for HTPC purposes.
Yeah just after a newer kodi player. Something that can handle Full HD & 4k streaming. Amazon sent me a code to get a Nvidia Shield for about $200aud so I might wait until tomorrow? and see if it's discounted further.
the Atom x5 and x7 series can handle 4k playback at 30hz. But the Nvidia Shield is the way to go if you want to squeeze some mobile gaming into the routine as well.
The Wintel ones reportedly don't do very much gaming, even some of the casual games on the Windows Store lag a bit.
