I just bought a bagless vaccuum cleaner from godfreys. it was 99 but that came with a steam mop which i didn't really need. Has anyone else found the service at godfrey's is pretty crap?

    • I know what's the one. Mine gone after 1 yr warranty…

  • thanks for the post! perfect cheap little bagless vac for the garage to clean the car with and pick up work working offcuts. For $59 you can't expect miracles, but being bagless for the garage is perfect!

  • We use to have a Piranha vacuum. They are built heavy, so be warned if you have a large house.
Pushing a heavy vacuum around can be very tiring!

  • Piranha vacuums make way more noise than they suck. I wouldnt recommend one.
andykillz: Stay away from Godfreys. They will try sell you a crappy Werthiem because they make the biggest commision from selling them. They have all tactics to prove you that Werthiem are better than other brands.

    • Is it worth the $59 dollars tho? I just live in a rental place with other tenants not planning to get a $2xx Dyson.

    • Our Wertheim (yes, bought from Godfreys lol) is pretty good! In fact I'd go so far as to say we're very happy with it.

Aparently they are good for picking up bowling balls. Personally I don't drop that many ;-)

  • Coles also have a $59 bagless Vac on sale at the moment :

    Dustflo
    Bagless 1400W Vacuum Cleaner
    3 stage HEPA Filtration
    One Touch Empty
    12 Month Warranty

I am sure all these cheap Vac's are the same item just rebadged.

    Cheers

    • This one saying 2400 watt compare to Dustflo 1400W.

      • You are spot on, my oversight.

        Cheers for the correction.

Yeah, though I wouldn't get carried away with the watts hype - its a bit of a gimmick. All the watts tell you is how much power the vacuum cleaner is consuming, not how effective it is at suction. You never know the 1400W may be just as good or better than a 2400W.

I bought one of these Piranhas on Tuesday for the same price, and can honestly tell you its not much better than my 1800W Hoover in terms of suction.

For $59 bucks for this Piranha, you really can't go wrong though. It has the safety cut-out mechanism when the motor overheats or gets clogged up with dust, and you even get a spare filter in the box. Sure the build quality is not the best, especially when the cord doesn't fully retract, and sure it makes more noise than it sucks, but I'd still give it the thumbs up for the value it represents and in light of its decent performance. A double thumbs up for it being a KMart product as you can always dump it at the service desk should it have any problems.

I'd recommend this Piranha over the Coles deal as the Dustflo is just another generic Chinese product with a flashy label.

I work at Kmart, on the Service Desk.
They have been 'dumped' at the service desk too many times for me to remember, because they break down. I wouldn't recommend them guys, seriously :o)
