    Does anyone know if this works with TPG's IPTV service?
    Can it tune into UDP Multicast IPTV (M2TS) streams (the format of TPG's IPTV)

    For those who don't want to read the astone forum, the general gist is that a lot of people have had issues with their units and have needed to send them back for replacement (at the buyer's expense).

    This is astone's first attempt at this kind of device and as such, seems to come with a lot of issues. I was very keen on buying one of these earlier, but after doing some forum research decided against it.

    you can buy this without the hard drive for low $200's and I have seen ones with 808gb for the same price so not sure why it would advertise with free hard drive, but is still a good deal. These ones have had a few problems especially with installed hard drive erasing itself. Maybe sorted out now. I have the Astone 110 because I don't need a pvr and wanted easy swapping of portable hard drives so also won't have this problem and it plays pretty much everything that this one does and is 1/3 the price!
