ASUS Zenfone 2 Can't Connect To PC

So I recently bought an Asus Zenfone 2 through a deal on here for my partner and I can't seem to get my computer to detect it properly to copy photos from it.

I'm using Windows 7 and I've tried installing drivers etc but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone had a similar problem and worked it out?

Thanks

Try plugging it into a USB 3.0 port or one of the USB ports at the back of the computer. You really should upgrade from Windows 7 too. It's incredibly outdated and inefficient compared to Windows 8.1 and 10.

  • Did you follow instructions on:
    https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1007722

Did you use the supplied USB cable?

  • Worst case, turn on Syncing and have the photos upload to a cloud storage like Dropbox/Google Photos/OneDrive etc etc etc.

  • If it's not too many photos, I'd just use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asus.share…
The app isn't exclusive to Asus phones(I use it on my Galaxy S6)

You also need to download the Windows client. Link is at the top of this page https://www.asus.com/au/support/FAQ/1006952/
