The original big boxes have some pretty good resale value if you're looking to part with them. Around $150-$200 for an unsealed copy in good condition.

Picked up Fallout 3 GOTY! Was waiting for it to be cheap. After I have finished the Witcher series, I can dive into this.

Just a word of warning. Fallout 3 is not supported by Windows 10. Installed fallout 3 a few weeks ago and had consistent crashes while playing on Windows 10
Did you do the same "fix" that people had to use to play it on Windows 7? It does the same thing on windows 7 machine too.
I spent a bit of time trying to fix it. Looking for patches/mods. Running as admin, running in compatability mode. However none of these fixed my crashes. There may be ways to work around this problem, just a warning to the average player.
Fallout 3 works perfectly in Windows 8 and 10. Got 2 PCs here running it fine.

You probably only need to step 1 - install games for windows live.

i have them on PS3 but as that is the main netflix driver i am looking for fallout on my lappy.

well steam had some sales on and picked up fallout 3 GOTY, newvagas ultimate edition and long dark for $25.
both fallouts have all the additional DLC content which is going to be hella fun.
